Steps to Achieve Certification:

  1. Complete the International Certified Health Qigong Coach Course:
  2. Pass the Trainer Skills Assessment:
    • In-person, through video submission, or via livestream.
    • Testing your understanding of the Trainer Course and technical details.
    • A second opportunity available at a cost, if the first attempt is unsuccessful.
  3. Submit a Video for Evaluation:
    • Clearly show head-to-toe coverage.
    • Include three angles (front, side, and back view) while executing the routine with narrated (English/Mandarin) music allocated for the specified routine.
  4. Pass the Assessment for the Certificate:
    • Achieve a passing score on technical features.
    • Obtain the international IHQF Pre-Duan Certified Levels 1. 2, or 3 dependant on your last merit.

International Duan Criteria:

  • Duan Categories:

    • Pre-Duans: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3.
    • Junior Duans: Duan 1, Duan 2, Duan 3.
    • Intermediate Duans: Duan 4, Duan 5, Duan 6.
    • Senior Duans: Duan 7, Duan 8, Duan 9.

    Duan Diploma Specifications:

    • Color categories representing different Duan levels.
    • Blue for Junior, yellow for Intermediate, and red for Senior.
    • Actual level within the Duan denoted by stars (1 to 3).

    The routine technical exams are classified into five categories: A, B, C, D, and E by means of on-site scoring. The evaluation is done on Regulations for Health Qigong Competitions approved and published by the CHQA in 2017.

    Standards categories:
    Grade A: 9 points higher.
    Grade B: 8 points higher.
    Grade C: 7 points higher.
    Grade D: 6 points higher.
    Grade E: 6 points lower.

    Assessment Technical Criteria:

    Assessment Tips:

    1. Attend workshops, events, and training courses regularly.
    2. Monitor progress by recording and comparing videos over time.
    3. Focus on the basics and give yourself enough time to learn.
    4. Stay open to change and avoid strict goals.
    5. Revisit the basics periodically to catch missed details.

    SAHQA, IHQF, CHQA Record Keeping:

    To ensure a smooth and credible certification process, all trainees are required to upload their Certificates of Completion to the official IHQF website. This step is crucial for verifying and awarding Chih Duan, Pre-Duan and Duan Levels.

    Member organisations, adhering strictly to the International Health Qigong Duan System and their respective exam entrust agreements, are responsible for organising the exams. These exams must be videotaped in their entirety, and the recordings must be preserved for at least three years.

    Upon completion of the exams, member organisations must submit the examination results to the IHQF as stipulated in their entrust agreements. Typically, these results should be submitted within one week of the exam.

    The IHQF will then inspect the training and examination results. Within a month of receiving the necessary materials, the Head Office will publish the results on the IHQF website. Successful candidates will be able to print or download their Duan Certificates.

    This rigorous process ensures the highest standards of quality and integrity in Health Qigong training and certification, empowering practitioners and upholding the esteemed reputation of the IHQF.
